Sill Pan 5Sill Pan 5Text Box: Þ Sill pan form is sloped to drain moisture to the exterior.  The preferred ASTM method.

Þ Flashing is continuous from back dam through pan to the bottom edge of flashing.  Other pans that sit on flashing are unsealed or rely on caulk reducing their reliability.

Þ Sill pan has a snap off strip for narrower inset windows.  Acrylic adhesive with poly release liner securely & efficiently beds flashing into pan.

Þ Easily applied shims that peel and stick are counter sloped to fully support the window frame & since they leave gaps across the sill promote drainage.

Þ SF Mesh tape at corners makes a water tight seal without the need to glue end dams and does not leave a gap to the jamb for air leaks.  Other systems require caulk and glue that may have to be cured and clamped before setting the window.

Þ Flashing seals flange & other fasteners within a 3” zone where most penetrations occur on all 4 sides of the window.

Þ 8’ sill pan sticks are easily cut to length with little waste.  Since the pan form sits underneath the flashing joints in the pan do not need to be sealed.  With most pans you will throw short pieces in the dumpster.
